Faculty Overview – Faculty of Sharia
intellectual center since its establishment in 2013 (1392 Hijri Shamsi). As a prominent Islamic and scholarly institution, the faculty has made—and continues to make—significant contributions to the religious and academic development of Afghanistan.
Through its active engagement in teaching, research, and community service, the Faculty of Sharia aims to nurture competent scholars, legal professionals, and ethical leaders who can serve society with knowledge and integrity. The faculty regularly reports its academic activities, challenges, and suggestions to the relevant authorities in order to improve its standards and contribute to national educational progress.
We are confident that with continued commitment and collaboration, the faculty will achieve even greater academic milestones in the future and serve as a valuable source of knowledge and service for our country—especially for the resilient and deserving people of Helmand province.
Currently, the Faculty of Sharia consists of one department: the Department of Fiqh and Law, headed by Mawlawi Muheb Mubashir. The faculty was initially led by Mawlawi Enayatullah Shahab, followed by Mawlawi Noor-ur-Rahman Saber, and is currently under the leadership of Mr. Saifullah Helmand.
