To develop and support best practice in medical education, in order to best support the development of caring, skilled, and knowledgeable physicians.

Goals and objectives:

Assure optimal delivery of a comprehensive, integrated curriculum. The faculty will support collaboration among teaching university, leading to improved integration, consistency and continuity both within and across courses and modules.

Accelerate adoption of active and engaged learning across the curriculum. Faculty will be expected to further refine, expand and disseminate use of these methods.

Support faculty development. In addition to other ongoing faculty development activities, the Departments will foster concentrated faculty development for our core educators with the expectation that they will then share their expertise across the university through the modeling and peer mentoring.Improve and develop tools for assessment of teaching and learning effectiveness at the faculty (particularly peer evaluation), course and curricular levels.
